Dien Chan: facial reflexology created by Pr Bùi Quốc Châu

What is Dien Chan?

Dien Chan is the facial reflexology method born in Vietnam in the 1980s, driven by Professor Bùi Quốc Châu.

A modern discipline, the fruit of decades of observation and research, it has nothing of an ancestral tradition about it, and this recent origin explains the precision of the authentic method.

Its principle: the face becomes a map where each zone communicates with the whole body. This map rests on 257 reflex points, which Pr Bùi Quốc Châu refined over the course of his research, even though the original numbering goes up to 633.

What sets Dien Chan apart from other forms of reflexology is multireflex tools. Designed to stimulate each area of the face with precision, they make the gesture more accurate and the effect felt faster and longer-lasting.

It is a natural, gentle, non-invasive approach that you can learn to practise on yourself as well as on your clients.

What sets authentic Dien Chan apart

A great deal of content circulates today under the name Dien Chan. Some simplify the map, others mix approaches together or use tools with no connection to the original method.

Authentic Dien Chan can be recognised by three things: cartography faithful to its founder's work, structured teaching, and multireflex tools designed to stimulate each zone with precision.

The International School of Multireflexology – Dien Chan (ISMDC) has been training practitioners since 2002, in more than 30 countries. Founded in close collaboration with the Việt Y Đạo Center of Pr Bùi Quốc Châu, in Saigon, it passes on the original method with rigour.

Dien Chan course

Dien Chan training: a programme divided into modules

Training takes place in person and online, in French, Spanish and English. Each course leads to an internationally recognised certification. The programme progresses in stages, always leaving plenty of room for practice.

DienChan❜reflex: the basics and first moves

This first module invites you to discover the foundations of Dien Chan and the logic of natural facial reflexology. You also explore its history, the way the method was built up through its founder's discoveries. Knowing this origin helps you understand why each technique exists, and so to use it with greater confidence.

From the very start, theory gives way to practice. You try out your first self-care techniques, learn to observe your face's reactions and to act on everyday minor discomforts. An accessible, engaging stage that lays real foundations and shows you just what a remarkable field of observation the face is.

DienChan❜pro: the point map and the yin-yang balance

Once the reflex diagrams are well assimilated, the second module reveals the map of the face's fixed points: 257 bqc·points. Every line on this map rests on contours common to every face. Thanks to the diagrams you've already absorbed, you understand it more easily and locate each point with confidence.

You also discover yin and yang in their practical application, with the help of multireflex tools. They guide you in identifying the nature of the discomfort and harmonising the body and face stages of your treatment plan. You then combine bqc·point formulas with targeted stimulation of the reflex zones. Guided practice plays a major role here, to develop agility and precision of movement.

DienChan❜clinic: connecting everything you've learned

Once reflex diagrams and bqc·point formulas are integrated, the third module teaches you to create «multireflexological bridges» between them, to verify that «one is everything and everything is one». Pr Bùi Quốc Châu uncovered many complementary diagrams, studied here to help you build these bridges.

Rather than stacking up complex theories, you learn to «translate» into Dien Chan gestures what the constant dialogue with the person brings you. All your knowledge then becomes useful for feeding your treatments in a genuinely multireflexological way and for building a treatment plan that is truly yours.

Multireflex tools: essential to the practice of Dien Chan

Practising Dien Chan calls for the right tools: spiked rollers, point detectors, massage cylinders and many others. Multireflex tools are designed and handcrafted in our own workshops since 2011, to very high standards. Practitioners all over the world use them every day. You'll find them all in the EiMDC's official shop.

Fine, living materials

Each tool comes from artisan craftsmanship and carefully chosen materials. Mimosa wood and high-quality metal finishes give it an elegant, long-lasting look that's as pleasant to look at as it is to hold.

For every part in contact with the skin, we favour natural horn. Silky to the touch, it needs no harsh products to maintain. It comes from traditional farming, with no animal raised or made to suffer for its horns.

And unlike plastic, it generates no static electricity, which keeps the skin comfortable.

Environmentally responsible manufacturing

We've practised circular economy since 2002: each tool's packaging is made from recovered materials. The result is an eco-responsible, long-lasting instrument that offers a unique sensory experience at every session.

So rather than settling for cheap plastic gadgets, choose multireflex tools. They reflect your commitment to the environment, your passion for work well done, and they are essential to a proper practice of Dien Chan, Chan❜beauté and your own wellbeing.
